two trade shows in January starting with the NAMMSHOW which is the largest music convention in the world held every January in Anaheim California right next door to Disneyland. This year Piano Trends owner Tim Paul worked the show as an industry consultant for piano dealers looking to improve their social media and online presence. It was a meeting place to renew contacts and see new products for the coming year. There will be a few new Baldwin and Breitenbach and Casio Pianos in our 2017 future.
A week after NAMM Piano Trends set up shop at IMEC or ILMEA depending on whom you speak. The Trends booth wa active in conversation with band and choir directors both from our immediate area and schools outside our districts in the market for musical equipment including pianos and digital labs. Phil was with us doing emergency band instrument repair for performing students. Possibly one of the major highlights was the live Facebook stream of Tim learning to play Trombone from Piano Trends and District 300 music teach Adam Brown. You can check it out by scrolling down Tim's Piano Trends Facebook page to Friday January 28th. If you were at either show comment or post a story of your experience.
